Fantastic! So great to read about these landmark projects of the EU. As an American living in Europe, I can only shake my head in disbelief at criticism of this European body. For all its flaws, all it takes is a look backwards at pre-EU history. I am sure that nobody would want to go back to centuries of war and destruction.

Let's keep our perspective and celebrate the great achievements of the EU and be grateful for the historic watershed that this institution represents.
