A very poignant piece. I also agree with @carolshetler that it's a good idea to expand your circle of friends to include younger people as you age - perhaps by volunteering to tutor, for example. Losing loved ones is definitely the price you pay for aging, but I hope to enjoy life enough to make it worthwhile as long as I'm around to enjoy it.
